The full Windows 10 IoT Enterprise environment is the most powerful HMI platform in the B&R portfolio. It runs B&R Automation Studio, MATLAB/Simulink, Node-RED, Docker containers, Python scripts, and any Windows-compatible SCADA/HMI software. The Intel Core i5-6200U (2.3/2.8 GHz) delivers ~3× the processing power of Atom-based panels, enabling machine vision processing, complex multi-axis trajectory planning, and edge analytics directly on the panel. 15" XGA (1024×768) display provides ~3.5× the screen area of PP400, supporting detailed process graphics, multi-window layouts, and large trend displays.

The 10.4" SVGA display (800×600) provides ~1.7× the screen area of the 7" PP400 panel, enabling more complex visualizations with multiple alarm windows, trend charts, and recipe tables on a single screen. 2 GB RAM supports larger projects with up to 1000 visualization screens and PLC programs up to 5000 steps. Dual Ethernet ports enable network redundancy (MRP) or separation of control and IT networks. The RS-232/422/485 serial port provides legacy device connectivity (barcode scanners, scales, modems). 4 GB eMMC provides double the storage of PP400 for data logging and recipe storage.

Material Composition: 28 strands of 0.26 mm tinned copper per conductor (Class 5 flexibility) ensure easy routing in tight spaces. PVC insulation rated to 70°C continuous provides basic electrical isolation. PVC outer sheath offers moderate mechanical protection and chemical resistance — suitable for control cabinet wiring, sensor power feeds, and low-power actuator connections.

Distinguishing Features from White Variant (4PPC70.101G-20 W): All hardware specifications, processor performance, memory configuration, communication interfaces, and software capabilities are identical to the white variant. The sole difference is the front bezel color: RAL 9005 black instead of RAL 9003 white. The black bezel is specified for applications requiring aesthetic uniformity with dark machine panels or reduced glare in brightly lit environments. The black PUR-coated surface also offers slightly higher UV resistance than the white variant.

Insulation is cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) rated to 90°C continuous. The integrated multi-turn absolute encoder eliminates the need for homing routines after power loss — absolute position is retained across power cycles.
