Yokogawa SD1015B02-2SN/92S2327

Model Number: SD1015B02-2SN/92S2327

Product Introduction:
The SD1015B02-2SN/92S2327 is a 2-channel universal input paperless recorder from Yokogawa’s SD1000 series. It replaces traditional chart recorders with digital recording, display, and communication capabilities. The suffix “2SN” indicates 2 universal inputs + 1 RS-232 serial communication + 1 alarm relay output, and “/92S2327” is the serial number/manufacturing code.

Material Composition:

  • Front panel: PC (Polycarbonate) with anti-glare coating
  • Housing: ABS engineering plastic (flame-retardant, UL94 V-0)
  • Display coverTempered glass (scratch-resistant)
  • Terminal block: Phosphor bronze, tin-plated

Structure Characteristics:

  • Square 144 × 144 mm panel cutout (fits standard panel)
  • Rotating display head (0–270°) for optimal viewing angle
  • USB port on front panel for memory stick data export
  • RS-232C terminal block for serial communication
  • Alarm relay terminal with LED indicator

Working Principle:
Each input channel is sampled at 200 ms intervals by a 16-bit A/D converter. The digital values are displayed on the TFT LCD and simultaneously written to internal flash memory in circular buffer format (oldest data overwritten when memory is full). The Modbus RTU protocol allows the recorder to communicate with a SCADA system or PLC for real-time monitoring. Alarm relay activates when any input exceeds user-defined high/low limits. USB export allows transferring recorded data to a PC for analysis using Yokogawa’s GL Series software.

Advantages & Highlights:

  • Paperless design eliminates chart paper, ink, and pen costs
  • 30-day trend storage provides comprehensive process history
  • Color TFT display shows multiple channels simultaneously with bar graphs
  • USB data export enables easy data analysis and reporting
  • Modbus RTU integration with existing SCADA/DCS systems
  • Event recording captures all alarm and setpoint changes with millisecond timestamp

Applicable Industries:

  • Power Generation (boiler monitoring, turbine performance)
  • Chemical Processing (batch recording, quality control)
  • Food & Beverage (HACCP compliance recording)
  • Pharmaceutical (GMP-compliant data logging)
  • Water Treatment (compliance reporting)
  • HVAC/Building Automation (energy monitoring)

Installation Requirements:

  • Panel cutout: 138 × 138 mm (W × H), depth ≥ 110 mm
  • Mount with gasket for IP65 protection
  • Connect RS-232C cable using shielded cable, max 15 m
  • USB memory stick: FAT16/FAT32 format, max 32 GB
  • Power supply: Fused at 2 A (AC) or 3 A (DC)
  • Ground the chassis to earth ground

Usage Precautions:

  • Do not insert USB memory stick while recorder is writing data (data corruption risk)
  • Backup recorded data to PC at least weekly (internal memory is not infinite)
  • Do not expose display to direct sunlight (reduced visibility, potential damage)
  • Do not exceed 30 V DC or 250 V AC on alarm relay contacts
  • Operating temperature must not exceed 50°C (display degradation)
  • Firmware updates must be performed via USB using Yokogawa utility software only
