The BAUMULLER BM4443-AI1-012 is a servo motor from the BM44xx series with an integrated single-turn absolute encoder. Working Principle:
The PMSM rotor, equipped with NdFeB magnets, is driven by a three-phase rotating stator field from the servo amplifier. The integrated Hiperface encoder, mounted on the rear shaft, reads a glass code disk attached to the rotor. The encoder outputs absolute position data (Gray code, 131,072 counts/rev) via the M23 connector to the drive. The drive executes servo control loops using this feedback for precise motion control.
