Working Principle:
The WT1806E uses a high-speed ADC (Analog-to-Digital Converter) sampling at 2 MS/s to digitize voltage and current waveforms simultaneously on all 6 channels. The instrument computes instantaneous power (p(t) = v(t) × i(t)) and integrates over each cycle to derive active power (P), reactive power (Q), apparent power (S), power factor (PF), and phase angle (θ). FFT (Fast Fourier Transform) processing is applied for harmonic analysis. The 6-channel architecture uses independent ADC paths per channel, enabling true simultaneous sampling without time-skew errors.
Advantages:
- Industry-leading accuracy of ±0.05% — the highest in its class
- 6-channel simultaneous measurement eliminates timing errors between channels
- 100 kHz bandwidth covers fundamental frequencies and high-order harmonics
- Motor evaluation and inverter analysis built-in
- LXI compliance for remote Ethernet control and data acquisition
Applicable Industries:
- Electric Vehicle & Hybrid Vehicle Development — inverter and motor efficiency testing
- Renewable Energy — solar inverter and wind turbine power conversion analysis
- Power Electronics — inverter, converter, and UPS efficiency measurement
- Home Appliance R&D — energy efficiency testing per IEC 62301
- Industrial Motor Testing — IE classification per IEC 60034-30
Installation Requirements:
- Install on a flat, stable, vibration-free bench or rack
- Ensure adequate ventilation: minimum 100 mm clearance on all sides
- Connect shielded twisted-pair cables for current inputs to minimize noise
- Use dedicated grounding point per IEC 61010-1
Usage Precautions:
- Never exceed 1100 V or 55 A on any input channel
- Use proper fuses or current transformers for currents exceeding 55 A
- Allow 30-minute warm-up before high-accuracy measurements
- Do not open the chassis — internal high-voltage circuits present shock hazard
