Material Composition:

  • Housing: Flame-retardant ABS resin
  • TerminalsPhosphor bronze with nickel plating

Structural Features:

  • Standardized DIN rail mounting module
  • Detachable terminal block on top
  • Channel status indicator LEDs on front panel
  • Supports hot-swap (must be performed with system power OFF)

Working Principle:
The TM50501040-2SN receives the millivolt-level signal generated by the K-type thermocouple, which is digitized by a high-precision A/D converter. The built-in cold junction compensation circuit automatically detects the module terminal temperature and applies compensation to eliminate cold junction temperature effects on measurement results. After linearization processing and temperature compensation algorithms, the result is converted to a 4-20mA standard current signal for output to the DCS/PLC system.

Functional Features:

  • Supports K-type thermocouple direct input, no external compensation cable required
  • 2-channel fully isolated design, zero crosstalk between channels
  • Supports remote zero/span adjustment (via HART protocol or DCS system)
  • Built-in break wire detection, outputs fault indication when sensor is disconnected

Advantages & Highlights:

  • High-precision cold junction compensation ensures accuracy across full measurement range
  • Modular design supports online replacement, minimizing downtime
  • Channel-to-channel isolation enhances system anti-interference capability
  • Compliant with SIL2 Safety Integrity Level requirements (certain configurations)

Applicable Industries:

  • Petrochemical cracker furnace temperature monitoring
  • Power plant boiler steam temperature monitoring
  • Metallurgy kiln temperature control
  • Food processing sterilization temperature monitoring

Installation Requirements:

  • Mount on DIN rail or insert into standard card slot
  • Use corresponding grade compensation cable for thermocouple wiring
  • Terminal torque: 0.5 to 0.8 N·m
  • Maintain 300mm minimum separation from high-power equipment

Usage Precautions:

  • Never reverse thermocouple polarity; doing so may damage the module
  • Calibrate accuracy regularly, recommended at least once per year
  • Avoid use in high-vibration environments; install vibration-damping brackets if required
  • Module faults are automatically detected and alarmed by the DCS system; replace promptly
