Applicable Industries:
Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Power Generation, Water/Wastewater, Pharmaceutical, Food & Beverage

Installation Requirements:

  • Install in CENTUM VP I/O station or communication rack
  • Use shielded cable for RS-485 connections (max 1200 m at 9600 bps)
  • Terminate RS-485 bus with 120 Ω resistor at both ends
  • Set DIP switches for baud rate, parity, and address configuration

Precautions:

  • Do not connect RS-232C and RS-485 devices to the same port simultaneously
  • Maximum cable length for RS-232C: 15 m
  • Ensure proper grounding of RS-485 shield at one end only
  • Do not exceed 115200 bps to maintain signal integrity
