YOKOGAWA SR1015B-1SN

Product Introduction:
The SR1015B-1SN is a 15-channel universal input paperless recorder from Yokogawa’s DX2000/SR1000 series. It is a 1/4 DIN (144 × 144 mm) panel-mount recorder providing high-speed, high-density data acquisition for complex process monitoring applications. The “15” denotes 15 input channels, “B” denotes the base configuration, “1” denotes 1 Ethernet port, and “SN” denotes specific power/communication configuration.

Detailed content

Measurement Principle:
The recorder employs 24-bit delta-sigma A/D converters to digitize inputs from thermocouples, RTDs, DC voltage, DC current, and frequency sensors at high speed. Data is processed by an embedded RISC processor, displayed on a color TFT LCD, stored in NAND flash memory, and transmitted via RS-232C, RS-485, Ethernet (Modbus TCP/EtherNet/IP), or USB to host systems.

Applicable Industries:

  • Pharmaceutical Manufacturing (Batch Processes)
  • Chemical Processing (Multi-reactor plants)
  • Food and Beverage (Fermentation, Pasteurization)
  • Power Generation (Multi-unit monitoring)
  • Oil and Gas (Multi-well monitoring)
  • Environmental Monitoring Stations
  • Semiconductor Manufacturing
  • Water and Wastewater (Multi-point monitoring)

Installation Requirements:

  • Cut panel opening to 138 × 138 mm for 1/4 DIN mounting
  • Secure with mounting clips or screws (provided with unit)
  • Connect all input signals using appropriate sensor cable types (TC extension wire for thermocouples, shielded cable for mA/V)
  • For RS-485 communication: use shielded twisted-pair cable; terminate with 120 Ω resistor at the last device
  • For Ethernet: use Cat5e or higher cable; connect to a managed switch for optimal performance
  • Ground the recorder chassis to the panel ground bus
  • Install cable glands (PG21 or PG29) for all cable entries to maintain IP66 rating

Usage Precautions:

  • Do not exceed the rated input voltage/current for any channel — maximum 10 V DC or 30 mA DC per input
  • Use correct thermocouple type settings — mismatched types cause errors up to tens of degrees
  • Verify cold junction compensation (CJC) accuracy — place CJC sensor close to the terminal block
  • Back up data to SD card before any firmware update
  • Do not block ventilation slots — the unit generates heat; ensure airflow
  • Do not apply power with incorrect voltage — “SN” = 100–240 V AC only
  • Replace the internal backup battery every 2 years to preserve clock and configuration
  • Do not write to the flash memory during a power failure — use the SD card for critical data
  • Configure the Ethernet IP address before connecting to the plant network to avoid IP conflicts
