Yokogawa SD1015B02-2S1C

Product Introduction:
The SD1015B02-2S1C/97S01 is a 2-channel universal input paperless recorder from Yokogawa’s SD1000 series. The suffix “2S1C” indicates 2 universal inputs + 1 isolated 4–20 mA transmission output + 1 alarm relay output, and “/97S01” is the serial number/manufacturing code. This variant provides analog transmission output in addition to recording and display.

Material Composition:

  • Front panelPC with anti-glare coating
  • HousingABS flame-retardant (UL94 V-0)
  • Display: Tempered glass cover
  • Terminals: Phosphor bronze, nickel-plated

Structure Characteristics:

  • 144 × 144 mm panel cutout
  • Rotating display head (0–270°)
  • Front-panel USB port
  • RS-232C and 4–20 mA output terminal blocks
  • Alarm relay with LED indicator

Working Principle:
Two input channels are sampled at 200 ms and displayed on the TFT LCD. The recorder stores data in circular flash memory. The 4–20 mA transmission output is generated by a 16-bit D/A converter with 500 V AC isolation from the input circuits. The output can retransmit Channel 1, Channel 2, or a computed value (average, sum, difference). The Modbus RTU interface enables SCADA integration. Alarm relay activates on high/low limit violations.

Advantages & Highlights:

  • Isolated 4–20 mA output allows signal distribution to remote indicators/controllers without additional isolators
  • 500 V AC isolation between input and output eliminates ground loops
  • Dual-channel recording + transmission in a single compact unit
  • Color display with trend, bar graph, and numeric readouts simultaneously
  • USB export for compliance reporting (GMP, HACCP, ISO)

Applicable Industries:

  • Same as SD1015B02-2SN (Power, Chemical, Food, Pharma, Water, HVAC)
  • Particularly suited for applications requiring remote analog signal distribution (e.g., transmitting recorded temperature to a remote DCS)

Installation Requirements:

  • Panel cutout: 138 × 138 mm, depth ≥ 110 mm
  • 4–20 mA output loop: Max 600 Ω total resistance (including receiver input impedance)
  • RS-232C cable: Shielded, max 15 m
  • USB memory: FAT16/FAT32, max 32 GB
  • Power supply fused: 2 A (AC) or 3 A (DC)

Usage Precautions:

  • Do not exceed 600 Ω load on the 4–20 mA transmission output (output will saturate)
  • Verify output range matches receiving device input range (e.g., 4–20 mA to 0–100°C)
  • Do not connect non-isolated devices to the isolated output (defeats isolation purpose)
  • Backup data via USB regularly (30-day storage is limited)
  • Do not operate above 50°C
