Working Principle:
Each input channel routes the signal through a multiplexer to a single 16-bit A/D converter. The microcontroller on the module applies cold junction compensation (for TC), linearization (from stored polynomial tables), and scaling. Digital data is sent to the FAST/TOOLS controller via the Vnet/IP or Vnet backbone. HART communication occurs over the same twisted-pair wiring using FSK modulation at 1200/2200 bps.
