Yokogawa FC311-S1 AS-S9391AT-02

Product Category: Field-Mounted Flow Rate Converter / Totalizer

Product Overview:
The FC311-S1 is a compact flow rate converter designed for field mounting. The configuration AS-S9391AT-02 specifies: S1 = Single-channel input, AS = Analog/Pulse input type, S9391AT = Specific I/O card assignment, 02 = Revision code. It processes flow sensor signals and outputs standardized 4–20 mA and pulse signals.

  • Form Factor: Square 96×96 mm panel-mount housing
  • Depth: 110 mm (behind panel)
  • Weight: Approximately 700 g

Working Principle:
The FC311-S1 receives pulse, frequency, or 4–20 mA signals from a flow sensor (turbine, vortex, electromagnetic, etc.). The internal microprocessor calculates instantaneous flow rate and accumulated total using configurable K-factors and pipe dimensions. Results are output as 4–20 mA analog signal and pulse output, with alarm relay activation on setpoint violation.

Key Advantages:

  • IP65 front panel — suitable for harsh field environments
  • Multiple input types — compatible with virtually all flow sensors
  • Built-in totalizer eliminates need for separate totalizer
  • Modbus RTU enables seamless DCS integration
  • Compact 96×96 mm size saves panel space

Applicable Industries:

  • Oil & Gas (custody transfer, well monitoring)
  • Chemical Processing
  • Water & Wastewater
  • Power Generation (cooling water, steam)
  • Food & Beverage

Installation Requirements:

  • Mount in location with ambient temperature -10°C to +55°C
  • Use shielded cable for pulse input signals
  • Provide 24 VDC or 100–240 VAC power supply
  • For pipe mounting, use proper gasket and torque specifications

Usage Precautions:

  • Do not exceed maximum input frequency of 10 kHz
  • Verify K-factor and pipe size configuration matches actual sensor
  • Ensure proper grounding of signal cables
  • Do not disassemble in hazardous atmosphere
