Yokogawa F3LX01-0N
Product Type: Vortex Flowmeter Transmitter (No Local Display)
Working Principle: Kármán Vortex Street Principle. A bluff body (shedder bar) is placed in the flow stream. As fluid passes the bluff body, alternating vortices are shed downstream. The frequency of vortex shedding is directly proportional to the flow velocity. The piezoelectric sensor detects the vortex-induced pressure oscillations and converts them into an electrical signal.

- Removable terminal box for easy wiring
- DIN rail or pipe mounting options
Applicable Industries:
- Oil & Gas
- Chemical & Petrochemical
- Power Generation (Steam Measurement)
- Water & Wastewater
- Food & Beverage
- Pharmaceutical
Advantages & Highlights:
- No moving parts — ensures long-term reliability and zero maintenance
- Wide turndown ratio — typically 1:30 to 1:50
- HART communication — enables remote configuration and diagnostics
- Multi-variable measurement — simultaneous flow, temperature, and pressure output
- Suitable for steam, gas, and liquid — versatile application coverage
Installation Requirements:
- Upstream straight pipe: Minimum 15D, Downstream: Minimum 5D (D = pipe diameter)
- Avoid installation near pumps, valves, or elbows that cause flow disturbance
- Ensure pipe is fully filled with fluid (no air pockets for liquid service)
- Grounding required for signal integrity
Usage Precautions:
- Do not exceed maximum rated pressure of 4.0 MPa
- Verify fluid compatibility with SUS316L wetted materials
- For low-flow applications, consider reduced pipe size to maintain minimum Reynolds number (Re > 20,000)
- Periodic zero-point calibration recommended every 12 months
