Yokogawa DX2010T-3-4-2

Product Overview:
The DX2010T-3-4-2 is the touchscreen variant of the DX2010-3-4-2 paperless recorder. It features a 3.5-inch color TFT touchscreen instead of a monochrome LCD, providing intuitive operator interaction, trend visualization, and bar graph display. All functional specifications match the DX2010-3-4-2 with the addition of a color touchscreen interface.

Functional Features:

  • Color touchscreen interface: Touch-based navigation, trend display, and bar graph
  • 3 universal inputs accept any standard process signal
  • 4 isolated 4-20 mA outputs for direct valve control
  • 2 alarm relay outputs with configurable setpoints
  • Math functions: Addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, square root, moving average
  • Linearizer: Up to 30-segment piecewise linearization
  • Totalizer: Flow totalization with reset
  • HART communication: Configure and calibrate HART smart transmitters via touchscreen
  • Color trend display: Real-time color-coded trend graphs on the 3.5-inch screen
  • Multi-language support: English, Japanese, Chinese, and other languages

Working Principle:
Identical to the DX2010-3-4-2. The 3.5-inch color TFT touchscreen is driven by a dedicated graphics controller that renders trend graphs, bar graphs, and menu screens in color. The resistive touchscreen uses a 2-layer membrane with analog voltage detection for touch position. The processor executes the same recording, control, and communication functions as the DX2010-3-4-2, with the added capability of displaying color-coded trends and bar graphs on the larger, higher-resolution screen.

Advantages and Highlights:

  • Color touchscreen provides superior usability compared to button-only operation
  • Intuitive trend visualization — operators can see process behavior at a glance
  • All DX2010-3-4-2 functions retained in a compact 96×96 mm form factor
  • Dual power supply (AC/DC) for installation flexibility
  • 4 isolated analog outputs eliminate need for external I/P converters
  • HART touchscreen configuration — no need for a separate HART communicator

Applicable Industries:

  • Oil and Gas
  • Chemical and Petrochemical
  • Power Generation
  • Water and Wastewater
  • HVAC and Building Automation
  • Food Processing

Installation Requirements:

  • Cut panel opening to 92 mm × 92 mm for flush mounting
  • Secure with 4 × M4 mounting screws
  • Connect power: 100-240 V AC or 24 V DC with proper grounding
  • Use shielded twisted-pair cable for all analog input connections
  • Install 120Ω termination resistor at the end of RS-485 bus
  • Ensure minimum 50mm clearance above and below the unit for ventilation

Usage Precautions:

  • Calibrate the touchscreen if touch response becomes inaccurate (perform via front panel menu)
  • Do not apply input signals exceeding the maximum rated value for the selected input type
  • Use a soft cloth or stylus for touchscreen operation — do not use sharp objects
  • Perform initial calibration after installation using a precision signal source
  • Do not expose the touchscreen to direct sunlight or temperatures above +50°C
  • Back up recorded data via RS-232C or USB adapter before memory fills
