Working Principle:
The servo drive receives pulse train commands from the motion controller (PLC or CNC). An internal DSP (Digital Signal Processor) calculates the required motor current using vector control algorithm (FOC – Field Oriented Control). The IGBT power module (6-switch inverter) converts DC bus voltage to three-phase AC with variable frequency and amplitude. The absolute encoder on the motor shaft provides real-time position feedback. The drive continuously compares command position with actual position and adjusts motor torque to minimize following error. STO function disables torque output via hardware-level safety circuit.

Advantages & Highlights:

  • High-resolution 17-bit absolute encoder eliminates need for homing after power-off
  • Compact 400W design saves panel space compared to competitive products
  • SIL3/PLe safety rated without external safety relay
  • Electronic gear function allows flexible mechanical ratio configuration (1/1 to 1/10,000)
  • Built-in brake chopper handles regenerative energy without external components

Applicable Industries:

  • Semiconductor manufacturing equipment (wafer steppers, bonders)
  • Pick-and-place machines (electronics assembly)
  • CNC machine tools (lathes, milling machines)
  • Packaging machinery (labeling, sealing, filling)
  • Printing presses
  • Robotic systems (articulated robots, SCARA)
  • Textile machinery

Installation Requirements:

  • Mount on DIN 35 mm rail or flat vertical surface with screw fixation
  • Maintain minimum 50 mm clearance on top, bottom, and sides for airflow
  • Connect motor power cable using shielded twisted-pair cable, max length 50 m
  • Connect encoder cable using double-shielded cable, max length 20 m
  • Ground the drive chassis to earth ground with wire gauge ≥ 3.5 mm² (AWG 12)
  • Install external electromagnetic contactor for main power disconnect

Usage Precautions:

  • Do not operate the drive with the front cover removed (exposed high-voltage terminals)
  • Verify motor rated voltage matches drive output before first energization
  • Do not exceed 4 Mpps pulse input frequency (damages input circuit)
  • Braking resistor must be connected when deceleration time is < 0.5 seconds
  • Ambient temperature must not exceed 55°C (permanent damage to IGBT module)
  • Condensation prevention heater required for operation below 0°C
