Functional Features
Complete channel-to-system isolation eliminates crosstalk and ground loops. HART passthrough enables secondary variables, calibration data and device-health reading. Integrated loop power removes separate transmitter power conditioning. Redundant pairing maintains input continuity during module maintenance.
Application Scenarios
Applied in petrochemical fractionation, pulp and paper wet-end consistency, semiconductor etch-chamber pressure monitoring, power-plant auxiliary loops, water treatment and any CENTUM CS/VP area requiring HART smart-transmitter integration.
Performance Parameters
Temperature drift is ±16 μA/10 °C. Channel scan supports 10 ms refresh to the controller. HART overlay operates on the same two-wire loop without additional analog cards. EMC immunity suits VFD and large-motor environments when wiring segregation is observed.
Material Composition
Flame-retardant plastic module housing, FR4 analog PCB, precision isolation components, HART modem circuitry, gold-plated backplane contacts and tin/bronze terminal metals according to node termination style.
Structural Characteristics
Compact ESB/ER node card with front status LEDs, HART activity indicator, side locks, rear backplane connector and screw or pressure-clamp termination depending on node terminal assembly.
Working Principle
Each transmitter loop is powered by the module, filtered through channel isolation and converted by the analog front end. Digital HART data is separated from the 4-20 mA current, processed locally and passed to the engineering system for configuration or diagnostics.
Installation Requirements
Insert the module into the qualified CENTUM ESB/ER slot and confirm firmware compatibility for HART polling. Use shielded twisted pair, maintain loop resistance within transmitter loading limits, segregate input cables from AC power by the cabinet standard and torque terminals to the specified value.
Usage Precautions
Do not connect AC signals to analog inputs. Inspect terminals periodically for oxidation in humid areas. Run HART diagnostic downloads and end-to-end 4-20 mA checks on the maintenance schedule. Replace modules with identical suffix and firmware class in redundant pairs.
