YOKOGAWA AAI143-H50K4A00

Product Name
YOKOGAWA AAI143-H50K4A00 16-channel isolated HART analog input module with KS dedicated-cable interface.
Product Introduction
AAI143-H50K4A00 acquires 4-20 mA transmitter signals for CENTUM VP, CS 3000 and compatible Yokogawa systems. The H50 option enables HART communication, and the K4A00 option defines KS dedicated-cable termination for centralized wiring through the ATK4A-00 adapter.

Functional Features
Per-channel isolation removes ground-loop errors. Built-in HART modem reads device status, range and diagnostics without external gateway. Integrated loop power supports two-wire transmitters. Dual-redundant operation is supported in compatible node configurations.
Application Scenarios
Used for pressure, flow, level and analytical transmitter acquisition in oil refining, gas processing, petrochemicals, thermal and nuclear auxiliary control, pharmaceuticals, water/wastewater and offshore platforms.
Performance Parameters
A/D conversion resolution is 16-bit class with ±16 μA accuracy and ±16 μA/10 °C temperature drift. Loop-open or over-range conditions are detected through 24 mA threshold logic. HART polling coexists with 10 ms analog update when node firmware supports HART on ESB.
Material Composition
Flame-retardant engineering-plastic front housing, multilayer low-noise FR4 PCB, per-channel isolation transformers or equivalent isolated DC/DC stages, HART modem ICs, gold-plated KS connector contacts and surge-rated input protection components.
Structural Characteristics
Single-slot CENTUM I/O format with side locking latches, front channel LEDs, HART status indicator, rear backplane bus connector and K4A00 KS-cable interface compatible with ATK4A-00 termination.
Working Principle
Two-wire HART transmitters are powered by the module loop supply. The 4-20 mA analog current passes through input protection and channel isolation, is converted by the A/D stage and transferred to the controller every 10 ms. HART digital signals are demodulated per channel for remote configuration and diagnostics.
Installation Requirements
Install in the assigned analog input slot of the CENTUM node or ProSafe rack. Fit ATK4A-00 or equivalent KS adapter for K4A00 wiring. Use shielded twisted-pair transmitter cable with shield grounded at the cabinet single point. Preserve ventilation gaps between adjacent modules and verify node firmware for HART.
Usage Precautions
Do not apply AC voltage or exceed 24 mA sustained input without over-range handling. For intrinsically safe loops, use certified isolation barriers instead of direct Zener barriers. Check transmitter minimum operating voltage including field-cable drop. Perform periodic calibration with a referenced 4-20 mA source.
