Meggitt VM600 CPUM 200-595-077-331

Product Name
VM600 CPUM 200-595-077-331 Modular CPU Card for Machinery Protection and Condition Monitoring
Introduction
CPUM 200-595-077-331 is a VM600 modular CPU card used in Meggitt vibration monitoring, machinery protection and condition-based maintenance systems. It processes dynamic and static signals from VM600 I/O cards, executes protection logic, manages alarms and communicates with DCS, SCADA and asset-management software.

Detailed content

Technical Specifications
Card type 6U VM600 CPUM, height 262 mm, width 40 mm, depth 187 mm, weight approximately 0.40 kg. Primary network one RJ-45 Ethernet on the CPUM front panel; secondary network one RJ-45 Ethernet through the rear IOCN card. Primary serial one DE-9 RS-232 on the CPUM front panel; rear serial isolated RS-232/RS-485 through IOCN. Redundant variants add rear RS-422/RS-485 through optional serial communications module. Compatible rear I/O card IOCN with RJ-45 Ethernet, RJ-12 serial and configuration-specific ports. Order-code 200-595-077-331 defines hardware revision, firmware load and preconfigured I/O parameters; exact channel count, protocol set and firmware features must be confirmed from the Meggitt configuration sheet.
Functional Features
Ethernet redundant and serial redundant configurations for continuous protection duty. Real-time vibration processing with filtering, integration, demodulation, envelope and limit comparison according to loaded firmware. Alarm and trip relay logic, event logging and peer communication with VM600 I/O acquisition cards. Conformal-coated version available for extended environmental protection.
Materials And Structure
6U Eurocard with multilayer FR-4 PCB, front RJ-45 and DE-9 connectors, rear PMC/backplane connectors for IOCN, and metal faceplate. Optional varnish or conformal coating covers exposed circuitry in harsh versions.
Working Principle
The CPUM receives digitized vibration, position, temperature, speed and process data from VM600 acquisition I/O over the backplane. The onboard CPU runs protection algorithms, compares measured values with configured alarm/trip setpoints, and issues relay, serial or Ethernet responses. Front and rear Ethernet provide independent communication paths; RS-232/RS-485 provide local engineering, diagnostics and legacy integration.
Installation Requirements
Install the CPUM in the designated VM600 6U rack position with matching IOCN rear card. Connect network cables to managed switches with static addresses aligned to the protection project. Load the correct firmware, configuration database and I/O mapping before placing the machine in service. For redundant systems, install primary and backup CPUM with validated synchronization and failover settings.
Usage Precautions
Use ESD grounding before card handling. Do not modify trip setpoints while the protected machine is running unless authorized by the protection procedure. Verify Ethernet IP, subnet, firmware version and IOCN pairing after replacement. Keep a verified backup of the configuration database and event-log format. Replace with the same 200-595 order configuration to preserve protection integrity and regulatory compliance.
