CPU-AGU 3240A51A KEI-3240 AGU IV Host and Graphic Computer Module
Introduction
CPU-AGU 3240A51A belongs to the K.K. KEI System KEI-3240 integrated automation platform. It operates as the Automation Graphic Unit host and graphic computer for marine machinery monitoring, engine data logging, valve remote control, cargo/ballast management and integrated ship automation.
Detailed content
Technical Specifications
System type KEI-3240 AGU IV host/graphic computer, compatible with KEI-3240A, KEI-3240A2 and KEI-3240D configurations. Network 100 Mbps Ethernet between main computer and AGU. Rated voltage AC 100 V and DC 24 V depending on host and power supply configuration. Ambient temperature 0°C to 55°C for AGU host equipment; selected ILS local units support up to 70°C. Approvals include ClassNK, Lloyd’s Register, ABS, DNV GL and other marine type approvals depending on system certificate. Connected I/O through ILS modules such as ILS-DI, ILS-DO, ILS-DV, ILS-AII, ILS-AVI, ILS-PT, ILS-VR4, ILS-BIO, ILS-BVO and ILS-REP. Operator devices ENTRY-KEY32 keyboard and KEI-LCD10 or larger KEI LCD panels.
Functional Features
Real-time machinery data acquisition from temperature, pressure, flow, level, speed and switch contacts. Graphic visualization of engine room, cargo, ballast, hull and auxiliary systems. Valve remote control, bilge monitoring, ballast sequencing and alarm logging. Compact Flash storage for sea-trial data, chief-engineer logs and configuration backup. Japanese/English screen switching on supported HMI builds.
Materials And Structure
Industrial rackmount host computer with metal chassis, graphic output interfaces and KEI proprietary system bus/ethernet links. ILS local units in separate panel-mounted enclosures connected through PC4-ILS or ARCNET interface modules. LCD panels in protected marine-grade housings; keyboards with sealed membrane or industrial keys.
Working Principle
The AGU receives machinery and hull data from ILS local I/O over the ship network. The host computer processes alarms, trends, control screens and logging routines. Graphic outputs are sent to LCD/VDU consoles; control commands for valves, pumps and ballast are returned to ILS actuators. Ethernet provides high-speed HMI traffic, while ILS buses provide distributed I/O isolation and ship-wide signal collection.
Installation Requirements
Install the AGU host in the KEI-3240 rack with approved KEI power supply, ILS interface module and network switch. Provide AC 100 V or DC 24 V according to the supplied power module. Separate signal cables from high-power feeder cables to reduce EMI. Confirm type-approval documentation for the vessel class before commissioning. Load the correct KEI-3240 application project and Compact Flash configuration.
Usage Precautions
Use ESD and marine handling procedures during module replacement. Do not operate above 55°C ambient for AGU host sections unless the specific subsystem is certified for wider range. Backup project files, alarm settings and Compact Flash logs before firmware or application changes. Verify valve interlocks and ballast logic on the test bench before live ship operation. Replace with identical KEI 3240A/AGU revision to preserve network and graphic compatibility.
