Structural Features:
  • Redundant relay drivers with built-in self-diagnostics (99% fault coverage)
  • Contact wear monitoring detects welded contacts and open circuits
  • Conformal coating option for IEC 60664-3 Type A pollution degree 1 environments
Working Principle: The module receives de-energize/energize commands from the safety controller, drives the isolated relay channels, and continuously performs self-diagnostics. Upon detecting a fault, it immediately raises an alert without compromising the safety loop.
Application Scenarios: Emergency Shutdown Systems (ESD), gas detection interlocks, fire and gas (F&G) systems, machine safety interlocks on production lines, and safety shutdown of rotating equipment.
Installation Requirements: Mount on standard DIN rail inside a suitably rated enclosure. Use appropriately sized wiring and apply the specified 0.5 Nm torque to screw terminals. Verify hazardous area classification compliance before installation.
Usage Notes: Never install in a 50 Ω system if 75 Ω termination is expected elsewhere in the loop. Regularly test relay contact integrity in safety loops per the site’s SIL proof-test interval.
