Honeywell CC-PAIH01

Product Name: 16-Channel High-Level Analog Input Module with HART 7 (Series C)
Product Overview: The CC-PAIH01 (part number 51405038-175) is an advanced 16-channel high-level analog input (HLAI) module for the Experion PKS C300 and ControlEdge platforms. It acquires standard current and voltage signals from field transmitters while natively supporting HART 7 protocol, enabling simultaneous acquisition of both the analog process variable and HART digital data for advanced diagnostics and predictive maintenance.

Functional Features:
  • Simultaneous analog and HART digital data acquisition
  • Remote configuration and predictive maintenance capability via HART
  • Per-channel open wire detection
  • Non-incendive field power – no external fusing required
  • Extensive self-diagnostics
Working Principle: Field transmitters drive 4–20 mA or voltage signals into the module. The 16-bit ADC samples each channel every 50 ms. The HART modem on each channel extracts digital data superimposed on the analog loop, forwarding both process variable and device diagnostics to the C300 controller. The module itself is passive – all configuration resides in the controller database.
Application Scenarios: Process variable acquisition from smart HART-enabled transmitters in chemical, oil & gas, pharmaceutical, and power industries where advanced device diagnostics and predictive maintenance are required.
Installation & Usage Notes:
  • Install in a Series C I/O chassis on a compatible IOTA (CC-TAIX01 non-redundant, or CC-TAIX11 / CC-GAIX11 / CC-TAID11 redundant).
  • Ensure the controller database matches the module hardware revision to prevent HART faults.
  • Load appropriate Device Description (DD) files into AMS Device Manager for full HART diagnostic visibility.
  • Acknowledge “Module Removal” alarm in Control Builder and enter Maintenance Mode before hot-swapping.
  • Verify channel health and HART device status immediately after racking a new module.
