Functional Features:
- Dual-Spectrum Logic: UV recognizes spark/flame radiation; IR confirms thermal radiation and rejects single-band false triggers
- Programmable Profiles: Multiple fuel/load configurations
- Modulation Frequencies: Adjustable flame discrimination frequencies
- Cooling/Purge Air: Keeps lens clean and lowers housing temperature
Application Scenarios:
- Marine Boilers: Ship power plants and auxiliary steam generators
- Industrial Burners: Gas, oil and dual-fuel combustion systems
- Hazardous Areas: Refinery heaters, offshore modules and chemical furnaces
- Utility and IPP Boilers: Continuous flame surveillance with safety shutdown
Structural Characteristics:
- Flange: 316 stainless threaded mounting flange, ordered separately; 60-2693 series supports 1 in NPT or BSP with 3/8 in cooling-air connection
- Cable Entry: Scanner housing provides 1/2 in and 3/4 in NPT entries; use certified glands
- Cooling Path: Sight pipe or Y-fitting purge air connection
Working Principle: UV and IR detectors convert flame radiation into electrical signals. The processor evaluates intensity, flicker frequency and dual-sensor agreement, then energizes flame relays when a validated flame exists. Loss of flame, sensor fault or self-test failure activates the fault relay.
Installation Requirements:
- Mount with proper flange and sight pipe aiming at the flame front.
- Provide clean, dry instrument air; standard 4 SCFM / 113 L/min, up to 15 SCFM / 425 L/min for high-temperature or dusty conditions
- Use certified explosion-proof glands and blanking plugs for unused entries.
- Bond and ground all stainless parts in hazardous areas.
Usage Precautions:
- Do not install without purge air where high furnace heat or dust is expected.
- Avoid electrostatic discharge when handling painted stainless in low-humidity hazardous areas.
- Do not block cooling air path.
- Verify Ex certificate, relay logic and 4-20 mA scaling before burner start-up.
