Emerson 38B5786X092
Technical Specifications
Maximum supply pressure is 10.0 bar, equal to 145 psig, or the maximum actuator rating, whichever is lower. Minimum input requirement is 0.3 bar, equal to 5 psig, above maximum required actuator pressure. Output delivery covers 0 to 100 percent of supply pressure. Pneumatic connections are 1/4-18 NPT internal threads. Air quality follows ISO 8573-1 with maximum particle size 40 micrometers. Compatible fluids are clean dry instrument air or non-corrosive natural gas.

Functional Features
The unit is configured as Housing B, single-acting reverse Relay B, with standard bleed design. It provides stable pressure delivery, quick response to digital controller commands, and direct replacement without sourcing individual small parts.
Material Composition
The assembly includes a relay body, shroud, relay seal, and mounting screws. Metals and elastomers are selected for instrument-air service. All parts match Emerson Fisher original dimensional and pressure specifications.
Structural Characteristics
The compact relay package mounts inside the DVC6200 or DVC6205 controller housing. The shroud directs airflow, the seal prevents leakage, and the screw set fixes the relay body to the controller pneumatic manifold.
Working Principle
The digital controller produces an electrical signal to the relay coil or pilot stage. The relay modulates supply air and delivers variable pressure to the valve actuator. Feedback from valve position returns to the controller to maintain the commanded travel.
Installation Requirements
Isolate the valve controller from supply pressure before removal. Remove the old relay, clean the mounting surface, and install the new assembly with supplied screws and seal. Verify 1/4-18 NPT connections and perform leak test at operating supply pressure.
Usage Precautions
Use only clean dry air or specified non-corrosive gas. Do not exceed 10.0 bar supply. Avoid using this Relay B reverse configuration on actuators that require another relay polarity without engineering confirmation. Inspect seals during every preventive maintenance cycle.
