CTI 2500-C200

Product Name
Control Technology Inc. 2500-C200 PLC CPU, 256 KB memory.
Product Introduction
2500-C200 is a CTI 2500 Series programmable controller CPU designed for discrete, analog, PID, and remote-I/O control. It serves as a modern replacement path for selected Siemens SIMATIC 505 controllers while retaining 505-style programming and I/O architecture.

Detailed content

Functional Features
505-compatible ladder and special-function programming through CTI Workshop.
Built-in Ethernet, USB, Profibus-DP, RS-232, and RS-485.
Large discrete/analog capacity for legacy migration.
PID, alarm, and special-function subroutine support.
Direct replacement for selected Siemens 545 CPUs per CTI compatibility list.
Material Composition and Structure
Industrial PLC processor board in 2500 Series form factor, metal/plastic housing, backplane gold-connector interface, on-board Ethernet/USB PHY, SD socket, and status LEDs.
Working Principle
The CPU executes stored user logic, scans local and remote I/O, performs PID and alarm processing, and exchanges data over Ethernet, Profibus, RS-485, and USB. Voting/redundancy is not inherent; fault tolerance depends on system design and external controllers.
Installation Requirements
Install in CTI 2500 or compatible 505 chassis backplane. Provide 24 VDC rack supply with margin for 7 W CPU plus I/O. Set IP address, Profibus node, and remote-I/O parameters before run mode. Restore project from CTI Workshop or approved memory device.
Usage Notes
Confirm memory-expansion and firmware requirements before replacing Siemens 545 variants. Do not mix 2500-C200 with projects requiring options reserved for 2500-C300. Maintain battery/retentive memory procedure per CTI manual. Validate Ethernet port settings, especially programming port 4452 and data ports 1505/4450 where used.
