B&R X67D01332
Product Introduction:
The B&R X67D01332 is a 32-channel digital input module for the B&R X67 I/O system. It accepts 24 V DC digital signals from sensors, switches, proximity sensors, and other discrete field devices. All 32 channels feature optical isolation and configurable filtering, making this module suitable for high-channel-count discrete input applications.

Working Principle:
Each of the 32 input channels contains an optocoupler (optical isolator) that separates the field-side 24 V DC signal from the bus-side logic. When a field device applies ≥15 V DC to the input, the optocoupler’s internal LED illuminates, activating the phototransistor on the bus side, which the controller reads as a logic 1. When the field voltage drops to ≤5 V DC, the optocoupler turns off, registering a logic 0. The configurable digital filter (0.1–10 ms) debounces mechanical switch inputs and filters electrical noise. All 32 channels are scanned cyclically via the X67 bus and transmitted to the controller in a single data frame.
Advantages & Highlights:
- 32 channels in one module — maximum density for digital inputs
- Optical isolation on every channel — complete protection against ground loops and transients
- Configurable filtering — eliminates contact bounce without external hardware
- LED per channel — instant visual diagnostics
- Spring-cage terminals — fast, tool-free wiring
- Fast 1 ms response — suitable for high-speed counting
Applicable Industries:
- High-channel-count discrete I/O applications
- Assembly lines with many sensors
- Packaging machines
- Conveyor systems
- Printing presses
- Material handling equipment
Installation Requirements:
- Mount on DIN rail TS 35 (EN 60715)
- Connect to X67 bus via front-facing connector
- Use 24 V DC for all field devices (PNP or NPN compatible)
- Wire ferrules mandatory for stranded conductors
- Set filter time in software according to application (0.1 ms for proximity sensors, 5–10 ms for mechanical switches)
- Torque terminal screws to 0.8 Nm
Usage Precautions:
- Do not exceed 30 V DC on any input channel
- Do not apply AC voltage to digital inputs (will damage optocouplers)
- Use correct polarity — this is a sink-type input (connect field device +24 V to input, 0 V to field device common)
- Verify filter settings in software before commissioning
- Do not leave inputs floating — always connect to a defined voltage level
- Do not operate above +55°C ambient temperature
