Bender 107TL47
Product Name
ISOMETER Insulation Monitoring Device for Medical IT Systems
Introduction
Bender 107TL47 insulation monitor for AC and three-phase AC IT networks, especially medical locations. It measures insulation resistance to earth, supervises IT transformer load and temperature, and reports alarms to local and remote medical alarm panels.

Function Features
Continuous insulation-resistance measurement, transformer overload and overtemperature supervision, measuring-lead monitoring, configurable response threshold, local LC readout, remote alarm transfer, and periodic self-test through the test button.
Material Composition
Flame-retardant ABS DIN-rail housing in detailed distributor data, FR-4 circuit board, screw terminals, sealed membrane buttons, and gold-plated terminal contacts in detailed distributor data.
Structure
DIN-rail mounting, front LC display, test and navigation keys, screw terminal blocks for auxiliary supply, measured circuit, BMS-Bus, and alarm relay.
Working Principle
The device injects a low-level measuring signal into the unearthed IT system, calculates insulation resistance to protective earth, evaluates transformer current and temperature inputs, and activates the alarm relay plus display message when values exceed configured limits. Alarm data can be sent over the two-wire link to remote medical annunciators.
Application Scenarios
Hospital operating rooms, intensive-care units, medical outpatient surgical centers, isolated IT power panels, and other medical locations requiring continuous insulation supervision under VDE 0100-710 or IEC 60364-7-710.
Installation Requirements
Mount on standard DIN rail inside the medical IT distribution enclosure. Separate measuring cables from high-power load wiring. Connect current transformers and temperature sensors exactly as specified. For three-phase load monitoring, use compatible Bender load-current monitor and current transformers.
Usage Notes
Keep remote communication cable within the length stated in the system manual; public data for similar configurations specifies up to 50 m. Perform test-button verification after commissioning and during maintenance. Do not alter internal thresholds without qualified configuration. Verify alarm-relay logic before clinical use.
