Atlas Copco TC52S-N-TT

Product Introduction:
The TC52S-N-TT is a fixed-speed TC52S compressor with the “N” (no dryer) configuration, mounted directly on top of an integrated air receiver tank. The “TT” suffix stands for Tank-Top — the compressor and tank are delivered as a single assembled unit. This eliminates separate tank installation, reduces piping, and saves floor space. The tank provides buffer storage, reducing compressor cycling and stabilizing system pressure.

Material Composition:

  • Compressor: Cast iron housing, alloy steel rotors
  • Receiver Tank: Carbon steel S235JR, epoxy-coated interior for corrosion protection
  • Tank Fittings: Stainless steel safety valve, ball valve drain, pressure gauge
  • Oil Separator: Glass fiber coalescing element

Structural Features:

  • Compressor mounted directly on top of 500L vertical receiver tank
  • Single-point electrical and pneumatic connection
  • Integrated condensate drain from both compressor and tank
  • Pressure gauge mounted on tank
  • Safety valve mounted on tank (set at 11 bar)
  • Minimum pressure valve on compressor discharge

Working Principle:
The compressor fills the integrated receiver tank to the set pressure (typically 8–10 bar). When downstream demand causes pressure to drop, the compressor starts and refills the tank. The tank volume (500L) provides approximately 60–90 seconds of buffer at full flow, reducing compressor starts/stops and extending motor life.

Key Advantages:

  • Space-saving — compressor and tank in one footprint
  • Reduced installation time — no separate tank mounting, no inter-piping
  • Lower pressure drop — short discharge piping
  • Reduced compressor cycling — extends motor and component life
  • Simpler commissioning — one unit to wire and pipe

Applicable Industries:
Small to medium workshops, machine shops, auto repair, small manufacturing, print shops, any facility with limited floor space.

Installation Requirements:

  • Indoor, 1.0 m clearance on sides, 1.5 m at front
  • Ambient: 0°C to +45°C
  • Floor load: 1,800 kg (tank is full of water/condensate)
  • Electrical: 400V/50Hz/3-phase, 100A breaker
  • Tank must be connected to safety discharge pipe (per EN 13445 / PED)

Usage Notes:

  • No dryer included — install downstream dryer
  • Tank drain valve: open daily to remove condensate
  • Safety valve: test annually
  • Oil change: 4,000 hours or 1 year
  • Tank inspection per local pressure vessel regulations (typically every 5 years)
