Atlas Copco TC52P-I

Product Series: TC Series — Electric-Driven Portable Compressors (Intelligent Variant)

Product Introduction:
The TC52P-I is an electric-driven portable screw air compressor featuring the Elektronikon intelligent controller as standard equipment. The “I” designation identifies the intelligent control package with advanced pressure management, energy optimization, and basic remote monitoring. It sits between the standard TC52P-D and the full DEC/TLM variants in feature set and cost.

Material Composition:

  • Frame: High-tensile welded steel with powder-coat finish
  • Air End: GHH cast iron rotor set, ceramic-coated
  • Cooler: Aluminum plate-fin heat exchanger
  • Controller Housing: IP65 polycarbonate enclosure with 7-inch color display
  • Motor: IP55 cast aluminum, IE3 efficiency

Structural Features:

  • Elektronikon Mark V controller with 7-inch color touchscreen
  • Basic DEC functionality — speed modulation based on pressure band
  • Standard towable trailer with road lights and full canopy
  • Forklift pockets with lifting eyes
  • Centralized service panel with quick-connect fittings

Working Principle:
The 400V IE3 electric motor drives the air end via a flexible coupling. The Elektronikon Mark V controller continuously monitors discharge pressure, motor current, oil temperature, and air-end temperature. Using intelligent pressure band control, the controller modulates motor speed between 50% and 100% to maintain discharge pressure within a user-defined band (typically ±2 psi). This eliminates wasteful on/off cycling and reduces energy consumption by up to 25% compared to standard load/unload control. The controller also logs operating hours, alerts for maintenance, and provides basic fault diagnostics on the touchscreen.

Key Advantages:

  • Elektronikon Mark V provides 25% energy savings vs. basic on/off control
  • Touchscreen interface simplifies operation and diagnostics for non-specialist operators
  • IE3 motor minimizes electrical cost for continuous rental use
  • Lower cost than DEC/TLM variants while retaining intelligent pressure management

Applicable Industries:
Construction rental, general industry, municipal works, event production, shipyard support, quarry operations

Installation Requirements:

  • 400V 3-phase supply, minimum 200A breaker, grounding ≤ 5 ohms
  • Level surface, 3 ft (1 m) clearance all sides
  • Controller requires 230V single-phase auxiliary power (supplied via internal transformer)
  • Ensure cellular or Wi-Fi coverage if using remote monitoring via Atlas Copco Connectivity (optional add-on)

Usage Notes:

  • Oil change: 250 hours initial, then every 500 hours — use Atlas Copco Roto-Inject Fluid
  • Air filter replacement: every 500 hours or at 2 psi differential pressure
  • Controller password-protected — default password must be changed at first use
  • Elektronikon firmware updates available via USB stick or optional Connectivity module
  • Do not operate with controller fault codes active — refer to Elektronikon manual for resolution
