AEG AS-P933-01

Model Series: AS-P933 Series Pressure Switch

Product Introduction:
The AEG AS-P933-01 is an electromechanical pressure switch (water level sensor) for AEG washing machines. It detects the water level inside the drum by measuring air pressure in the pressure tube connected to the drum base, and sends electrical signals to the control board to regulate water inlet during fill cycles.

Detailed content

Technical Specifications:

  • Sensor Type: Membrane-actuated pressure switch
  • Pressure Range: 0 to 300 mbar (0 to 30 kPa)
  • Switch Points: 4 preset levels (typically: empty / low / medium / high)
  • Electrical Rating: 250V AC, 6A (resistive load)
  • Connection: 4-pin connector (common + 4 switch outputs)
  • Operating Temperature: 0°C to +60°C
  • Pressure Tube Connection: 4mm ID silicone hose

Functional Features:

  • 4-level water detection for precise fill control
  • Fail-safe design — default to empty if tube disconnected
  • Adjustable switch points via mechanical lever positions
  • Diaphragm membrane for reliable long-term operation

Performance Parameters:

  • Switch Accuracy: ± 10 mbar per level
  • Response Time: < 200ms from pressure change to contact actuation
  • Cycle Life: ≥ 100,000 operations
  • Pressure Tube Length (Supplied): 1.2m silicone hose
  • IP Rating: IP40

Material Composition:

  • Housing: ABS engineering plastic (UL94 V-0 rated)
  • Diaphragm: Silicone rubber membrane
  • Contacts: Silver alloy (AgNi) with gold flash plating
  • Pressure Tube: Food-grade silicone, 4mm ID × 6mm OD
  • Fasteners: Stainless steel screws

Structural Features:

  • Compact rectangular housing with 4-pin connector on one side
  • Pressure port on bottom for tube connection
  • 4 adjustable lever arms for setting switch points
  • Mounting bracket with 2× screw holes for chassis attachment

Working Principle:
Air pressure in the silicone tube rises proportionally with water level in the drum (hydrostatic principle: P = ρgh). This pressure acts on the silicone diaphragm inside the switch housing. When pressure reaches each preset threshold, the diaphragm deflects and actuates the corresponding micro-switch contact, sending a signal to the control board. The board uses these signals to open or close the water inlet valve.

Key Advantages:

  • Precise 4-level detection for optimized water usage
  • Mechanical reliability — no electronics to fail
  • Easy adjustment of water levels via lever positions
  • Universal compatibility across AEG washer platforms

Applicable Industries:

  • Washing machine OEM manufacturing
  • Appliance repair and service
  • Aftermarket parts distribution

Installation Requirements:

  • Connect pressure tube to drum base port — ensure airtight seal with hose clip
  • Route tube to switch — no kinks or sharp bends (minimum bend radius 30mm)
  • Mount switch to chassis with 2× M3.5 screws
  • Connect 4-pin harness — verify pin 1 = common

Usage Precautions:

  • Blow through tube before installation to verify it is clear
  • Do not over-tighten hose clips — may restrict airflow
  • If machine overfills or underfills, adjust switch lever positions
  • Replace tube annually as preventive maintenance — silicone degrades over time
