AEG AS-BDA0-21

Product Name: AEG AS-BDA0-21 Analog Sensor Module — Differential Pressure / Temperature

Product Introduction:
The AEG AS-BDA0-21 is an analog sensor transmitter module designed for building automation and HVAC applications. It measures differential pressure or temperature (configurable via DIP switches) and outputs a 4–20 mA or 0–10V signal proportional to the measured value.

Detailed content

Model Series: AS-BDA Series (Analog Sensors)

Technical Specifications:

  • Measurement Type: Differential Pressure (0–1000 Pa) OR Temperature (-20°C to +120°C) — selectable via DIP switch
  • Output Signal: 4–20 mA (2-wire) OR 0–10V (3-wire) — selectable via DIP switch
  • Supply Voltage: 24V DC (±20%)
  • Accuracy: ±0.5% of full scale (pressure) / ±0.3°C (temperature)
  • Response Time: <200 ms (T90)
  • Operating Temperature: -25°C to +70°C
  • Protection Rating: IP65 (housing)
  • Housing MaterialPolycarbonate (PC) with stainless steel sensing element
  • Electrical Connection: M12 connector (4-pin) or screw terminal (2.5 mm²)
  • Dimensions: 80 mm × 40 mm × 25 mm
  • Weight: 120 g

Functional Features:

  • Dual-range selectable via internal DIP switches (no external tools required)
  • Zero and span calibration via potentiometer on PCB (accessible through housing)
  • Reverse polarity protection on power input
  • Loop-powered (2-wire) option — no separate power supply needed

Working Principle:
piezoresistive silicon diaphragm (for pressure) or PT1000 RTD element (for temperature) converts the physical measurement into a resistance change. An on-board ASIC signal conditioner converts this to a linear 4–20 mA current loop or 0–10V voltage output using a precision 16-bit DAC.

Advantages & Highlights:

  • IP65 rated — suitable for outdoor and damp locations
  • Loop-powered option reduces wiring complexity
  • DIP-switch configuration — no software or PC tool required for setup
  • Long-term stability: <0.1% drift per year

Applicable Industries:

  • Building automation (BMS/BAS)
  • HVAC air handling units
  • Clean room pressure monitoring
  • Process industry (non-hazardous)

Installation Requirements:

  • Mount with pressure ports horizontal (for differential pressure mode)
  • Use shielded twisted-pair cable for 4–20 mA output (max 500 m)
  • Provide straight pipe runs of 5× pipe diameter upstream and downstream

Usage Precautions:

  • Do not exceed 1000 Pa differential pressure (pressure mode)
  • Calibrate annually using certified reference instruments
  • Protect M12 connector from water ingress when not mated
  • Do not disassemble housing — recalibrate via external potentiometer only
