  • Micro-SD card slot for data logging and firmware updates
  • Watchdog timer with automatic reset function

Working Principle:
The ARM Cortex-M4 processor executes the control program stored in NOR Flash. Real-time I/O is processed via dedicated FPGA-assisted I/O controllers for deterministic timing. Communication with field devices occurs over EtherCAT (100 Mbps) or PROFINET (100 Mbps). Analog signals are converted using 16-bit SAR ADCs (ADS8688 or equivalent).

Key Advantages:

  • Multi-protocol support (EtherCAT, PROFINET, Modbus, CANopen)
  • Deterministic real-time performance (< 1 ms cycle time)
  • On-board data logging via micro-SD card
  • Watchdog and safety monitoring built in

Applicable Industries:
Process control, machine building, power generation, oil & gas, pharmaceutical manufacturing.

Installation Requirements:

  • Mount on DIN rail (EN 50022) or 22 mm cutout panel
  • Connect shielded Ethernet cable for fieldbus communication
  • Ground shield at one end only to avoid ground loops
  • Supply 24 V DC, minimum 1.5 A

Usage Precautions:

  • Update firmware only via official AEG tool software
  • Do not exceed +60°C ambient temperature
  • Back up configuration to micro-SD card before any changes
  • Replace battery (CR2032) every 2 years for RTC backup
