AEG 63-00155-01

Product Name: NTC Temperature Sensor / Thermistor
Model Series: 63 Series — Temperature Sensing Elements
Applicable Products: AEG Washing Machines, Dryers, Ovens, Dishwashers

Product Description:
The AEG 63-00155-01 is an NTC (Negative Temperature Coefficient) thermistor used for temperature sensing and monitoring across multiple AEG appliance types. It provides precise resistance-based temperature readings to the main control board, enabling accurate temperature regulation during wash cycles, drying cycles, oven cooking, and dishwasher sanitization.

Detailed content

Technical Specifications:

  • Part Number: 63-00155-01
  • Sensor Type: NTC Thermistor (Negative Temperature Coefficient)
  • Resistance at 25°C: 10kΩ (±1% tolerance) — standard value
  • B-Constant (B25/85): 3950K (±1%)
  • Operating Temperature Range: -40°C to +150°C
  • Accuracy: ±0.5°C at 25°C, ±1.0°C at 0–100°C
  • Response Time: < 3 seconds (in water), < 8 seconds (in air)
  • Housing Material: Epoxy-coated stainless steel sheath (AISI 316)
  • Cable Length: 300mm – 1000mm (varies by application)
  • Connector: 2-pin spade or 3-pin Molex
  • IP Rating: IP67 (when fully sheathed)

Functional Features:

  • Resistance decreases as temperature increases — control board calculates temperature via lookup table
  • Used for: water temperature monitoring, drum temperature, oven cavity temperature, drying thermostat backup
  • Fail-safe behavior: Open circuit = control board detects “sensor fault” and stops heating

Materials:

  • Sensing Element: Metal oxide ceramics (Mn-Ni-Co spinel)
  • Sheath: Stainless steel (AISI 316L), 6mm diameter
  • Insulation: MgO (Magnesium Oxide) powder fill
  • Lead Wires: Tinned copper, silicone insulated

Applicable Locations by Appliance:

Appliance Location Function
Washing Machine Drum water inlet Water temperature sensing
Dryer Exhaust duct / drum Drying temperature control
Oven Cavity wall Oven temperature regulation
Dishwasher Wash tub Wash water temperature

Installation Notes:

  • Sensor must be fully immersed in water or in direct thermal contact with the measured medium
  • Do not bend the sheath below 15mm radius — risk of internal wire breakage
  • Replace with identical B-value sensor — mixing 10kΩ with 5kΩ sensors causes temperature reading errors
