Product Overview:​ The 9908-266 is a member of the Woodward GS16 series of electronically driven gas control valves. It provides a reliable, cost-effective interface between electronic control systems and gas turbines used in electrical power generation, compressor, or mechanical drive applications, suitable for industrial gas turbine engines with maximum power ratings between 10 and 50 MW. The valve assembly can be used for base turbines or in multiple valve configurations in Dry Low Emission (DLE) turbines.

Working Principle:​ The onboard electronic driver receives digital commands via DeviceNet/CANopen, driving the high-torque actuator to position the self-cleaning shear-type metering valve, thereby precisely regulating gas flow to the turbine.
Installation Requirements:​ Install using 2.00 inch RF flanges per ANSI B16.5 Class 600. Ensure gas filtration of 25 µm absolute upstream of the valve. Maintain ambient temperature within –40 to +93 °C.
Usage Notes:​ Do not exceed 5,171 kPa (750 psig) gas supply pressure. Observe a minimum pressure differential of 138 kPa (20 psid) for specified flow control accuracy. The valve has a heat soak rating of 125 °C for 6 hours unpowered.
