Woodward 9907-776

Product family: Woodward 2301A electronic load sharing and speed control (9905/9907 series). Same 2301A platform as 9907-651/771/772.
Product brief: 2301A analog speed/load control for diesel, gas, steam, and gas-turbine prime movers. Accepts 4–20 mA or 1–5 Vdc command, outputs 0–200 mA to a proportional actuator, and supports parallel operation via ±5 Vdc load-share bus.

Detailed content

Key specifications (2301A platform):
  • Supply: 18–40 Vdc (LV) or 88–132 Vac / 90–150 Vdc (HV)
  • Actuator: 0–200 mA, forward or reverse acting
  • Speed range (DIP S1): 500–1500 / 1000–3000 / 2000–6000 / 4000–12 000 Hz
  • MPU: magnetic pickup, ≥1.0 Vrms above idle
  • Operating temperature: –40 to +70 °C
  • Load sharing: ±5 Vdc, ±5% load accuracy
  • Accel ramp 1–22 s; decel <1 s
Functional highlights: Isochronous or droop control, start fuel limit with override, failed-speed-signal minimum-fuel circuit, external speed trim, minimum-fuel shutdown contact, gain/reset/actuator compensation.
Applications: Genset speed governing, multi-unit load sharing, industrial prime-mover control.
Installation & safety notes: Set S1 DIP switch to the correct speed range before power-up. The 2301A is a control, not a protection device—an independent overspeed trip is mandatory. Mount in a clean, dry panel with vibration isolation; keep away from EMI sources. Use shielded cable, ground shields per Woodward EMI note 50532. Never disconnect a CT while the engine is running.
