Woodward 9907-772
Product family: Woodward 2301A electronic load sharing and speed control (9905/9907 series). Same 2301A platform described above.
Product brief: 2301A analog load-sharing and speed control. Sets prime-mover speed or load from a 4–20 mA / 1–5 Vdc command, drives a 0–200 mA actuator, and shares load over a ±5 Vdc bus with other 2301A or Woodward load-sharing-equipped controls.
Detailed content
Key specifications (2301A platform):
- Supply: 18–40 Vdc (LV) or 88–132 Vac / 90–150 Vdc (HV)
- Actuator: 0–200 mA, forward or reverse acting
- Speed range: switch-selectable 500–1500 / 1000–3000 / 2000–6000 / 4000–12 000 Hz
- MPU: magnetic pickup, ≥1.0 Vrms above idle
- Operating temp: –40 to +70 °C
- Load share bus: ±5 Vdc, ±5% load accuracy with matched speed settings
- Accel ramp 1–22 s; decel <1 s; optional ~20 s decel ramp version available
Functional highlights: Start fuel limit with override, failed-speed-signal minimum-fuel drive, low-idle/rated speed switch, gain/reset/actuator-compensation pots, external droop pot.
Applications: Diesel, gas, steam, and gas-turbine gensets; multi-unit parallel operation; isochronous or droop governing.
Installation & safety notes: Before energizing, set the internal S1 DIP switch to the speed range that matches (gear teeth × rpm ÷ 60). Wrong range → overspeed → equipment damage or death. Never operate without an independent overspeed trip. Use shielded, grounded cable for MPU and load-share lines; do not connect the shield at both ends for the SPM synchronizer link. Do not open a CT circuit while the engine is running—dangerously high voltage can result.
