Product family: Woodward 2301A electronic load sharing and speed control (9905/9907 series). Same platform as 9907-651.
Product brief: Part of the 2301A 9905/9907 series of analog electronic controls for speed and load sharing. The 2301A accepts a 4–20 mA or 1–5 Vdc command and drives a proportional actuator (single or tandem) to meter fuel or steam.

  • Power supply: 18–40 Vdc (low-voltage) or 88–132 Vac / 90–150 Vdc (high-voltage)
  • Actuator current: 0–200 mA
  • Forward- or reverse-acting (reverse-acting drives to full fuel on loss of actuator voltage, allowing backup mechanical governor takeover)
  • Speed ranges (DIP switch): 500–1500, 1000–3000, 2000–6000 (factory default), or 4000–12 000 Hz
  • MPU input: 1.0 Vrms min. above idle
  • Operating temperature: –40 to +70 °C
  • Load sharing output: ±5 Vdc
  • Acceleration ramp: 1–22 s; deceleration <1 s
Functional highlights: Isochronous or droop control, start-fuel limit, failed-speed-signal override, external speed trim (0–100 Ω pot for 0–10% trim), minimum-fuel contact for shutdown.

Installation & safety notes: Match the DIP speed range to the actual MPU frequency before applying power—wrong range = overspeed hazard. Keep the control in a clean, dry, vibration-isolated panel; do not mount on the engine. Engine/turbine must carry an independent overspeed shutdown device. Shield all signal cabling and ground per Woodward’s EMI control application note (50532).
