Woodward 9907-671

Product family: Woodward 2301A electronic load sharing and speed control (9905/9907 series). Same 2301A platform as the other 9907-6xx entries above.
Product brief: 2301A analog load-sharing and speed control. Drives a 0–200 mA actuator from a 4–20 mA or 1–5 Vdc command and participates in parallel load sharing via the ±5 Vdc bus.

Detailed content

Key specifications (2301A platform):
  • Supply: 18–40 Vdc (LV) or 88–132 Vac / 90–150 Vdc (HV)
  • Actuator: 0–200 mA, forward or reverse acting
  • Speed range: 500–1500 / 1000–3000 / 2000–6000 / 4000–12 000 Hz (DIP S1)
  • MPU: magnetic pickup, ≥1.0 Vrms above idle
  • Operating temperature: –40 to +70 °C
  • Load sharing: ±5 Vdc
  • Accel ramp 1–22 s; decel <1 s
Functional highlights: Isochronous / droop control, start fuel limit, failed-speed-signal override, external speed trim, gain/reset/actuator compensation.
Applications: Diesel/gas engine and turbine genset speed governing; multi-unit parallel operation.
Installation & safety notes: Set S1 to the correct speed range before energizing. The control must not be the sole overspeed protection—install an independent overspeed trip. Panel-mount in a clean, dry, low-vibration location. Shielded wiring required for MPU and load-share; grounds per Woodward EMI note. Do not open CT secondaries while the machine is running.
