Detailed content

Technical Specifications & Features: Specific pressure, flow, and electrical ratings for 9904-1281 are not separately published. For reference, the 9904 series Liquid Bypass and Stop Valves feature: maximum fluid supply pressure up to 1200 psig (8274 kPa), fuel temperature range 0 to +200°F (-18 to +93°C), ambient temperature +50 to +150°F (+10 to +66°C), and 25 μm at Beta 200 fuel filtration standard.
Materials & Construction: The 9904 series uses hardened stainless steel internal metering cages and electroless nickel-plated hardened sliding metering pistons for wear and corrosion resistance. All fuel-to-hydraulic interfaces use a dual seal design with a vent port. External seals are static elastomeric.
Working Principle: 9904-series valves use a double-piston arrangement where hydraulic pressure acts on one side of the piston and a failsafe spring on the other. Loss of hydraulic trip pressure causes the return spring to force the piston to the bypass position, diverting fuel away from the turbine.
Installation & Notes: All 9904-series fluid ports use 2-inch (50 mm) or 3-inch (75 mm) SAE flanges per SAE J518 Code 61. Installation must follow the relevant Woodward manual for the specific valve model.
