Woodward 8915-914

Product Name: Woodward 8915-914 — 1907 Large Liquid Valve & Actuator Assembly
Product Description: The 8915-914 is a 1907 Large Liquid Valve & Actuator assembly for gas turbine liquid fuel metering applications. It provides the same core functionality and technical performance as other 1907 Large Liquid Valve & Actuator units in this series.

Detailed content

Technical Specifications:
  • Metered Fuel Flow: 30:1 turndown, maximum 11,340 kg/h (25,000 lb/h)
  • Minimum Fuel Flow: 68 kg/h (150 lb/h)
  • Fuel Inlet Pressure (Maximum): 9,377 kPa (aluminum body) / 17,238 kPa (stainless steel body)
  • Differential Pressure: 345 to 827 kPa
  • Fuel Viscosity: 0.5 to 12.0 centistokes
  • Fuel Specific Gravity: 0.77 to 0.91
  • Cleanliness: 20 μm filtration, water ≤0.1%, particulates ≤1.0 mg/L
Fuel Compatibility: Diesel, kerosene, gasoline, light/heavy distillates, naphtha, gas turbine fuels, fuel oils, biodiesel compatible with FKM elastomers.
Functional Features:
  • Differential pressure regulated constant flow metering
  • Precision valve positioning via integrated actuator
  • Stable fuel delivery independent of system pressure variations
Application Scenarios: Gas turbine liquid fuel control across power generation, oil & gas, marine, and industrial turbine applications.
Material Composition: Aluminum or stainless steel valve body; through-hardened stainless steel internals; FKM seals.
Working Principle: The integrated actuator positions the 1907 valve plunger. The differential pressure regulator maintains constant pressure drop across the metering port, delivering consistent fuel flow proportional to valve position.
Installation Requirements:
  • Install valve square with governor/actuator linkage to prevent binding
  • Allocate actuator travel: two-thirds between minimum and maximum; remaining third split at endpoints
  • Use shielded electrical wiring
  • Follow Woodward outline drawings and control wiring diagrams
Usage Precautions:
  • Maintain fuel filtration at 20 μm or finer
  • Limit water content to 0.1% by volume; particulates to 1.0 mg per liter
  • Read entire manual and all related publications before installing, operating, or servicing
  • Practice all plant and safety instructions and precautions
  • Failure to follow instructions can cause personal injury and/or property damage
