Structural Characteristics: The 1907 valve incorporates a differential pressure regulator, a hollow plunger housed within a ported sleeve, and a spring that holds the plunger in contact with the input lever. The size and shape of the metering port are determined by turbine fuel-flow requirements.
Working Principle: The actuator receives an electrical signal from the control system and converts it to mechanical motion, positioning the fuel valve plunger. The differential pressure regulator maintains a constant pressure drop across the metering port so the fuel flow at any given valve position remains constant despite variations in discharge pressure or inlet flow.
