Functional Features: Microprocessor-based design for precise control and stability; triple independent overspeed protection logic (505 series); emergency stop function; flexible signal input accepting 4-20 mA or 1-5 Vdc computer control signals; highly integrated, works in conjunction with Woodward power automatic transferors, I/O controllers, and generator load controllers; multiple working modes (isochronous and droop); three freely configurable PID controllers (easYgen-3000XT); MCB and GCB synchronization with slip/phase matching (easYgen-3000XT).
Application Scenarios: Steam turbine speed control and protection; generator set speed/load control and paralleling; compressor and pump drive control; suitable for power plants, industrial turbines, marine and offshore platform backup power, distributed generation, and cogeneration applications.
Material Composition: Industrial-grade electronic components in a NEMA 4X/IP56 rated enclosure; easYgen-3000XT features a color LCD with dedicated soft keys.
Structural Features: Front-panel operator control panel with two-line display and 30-key multifunction keyboard (505 series); built-in HMI with color LCD and soft keys (easYgen-3000XT); modular electronic design; multi-level password protection.
Working Principle: The microprocessor receives signals from speed sensors, pressure transmitters, and other field devices. Based on the configured control algorithms, it calculates the required actuator position or fuel command and outputs the corresponding control signal. The triple independent overspeed protection logic monitors turbine speed and triggers emergency shutdown when speed exceeds the preset threshold. Genset models manage synchronization, load sharing, and import/export control.
Installation Requirements: Install in accordance with the Woodward Electric Control Manuals; use proper shielded cable for all signal and communication wiring; ensure the enclosure is properly grounded; for panel mount versions, ensure the cutout matches the specified dimensions; correct wiring is essential to prevent unexpected situations such as current burnout.
Usage Precautions: Use only the specified software tools (OpView™, 505View, or ToolKit) for configuration; protect configuration with password access; verify all interlocks and overspeed trip settings before commissioning; LT models extend the operating temperature range to -40°C for outdoor applications.
