Working Principle:​ The 8915-1146 receives speed feedback from magnetic pickups or other speed sensors and process signals through its programmable inputs. The microprocessor executes the control algorithm, comparing actual turbine speed to the setpoint. It generates control outputs to drive the steam inlet valve actuator(s), adjusting them to maintain the desired speed. The triple independent overspeed protection logic continuously monitors speed and triggers rapid shutdown on overspeed conditions. Communication interfaces (RS-232/RS-422/RS-485) enable integration with host computers, DCS, or PLC systems for monitoring and control.
