Working Principle: The 8915-111 receives speed feedback from magnetic pickups or other speed sensors and process signals through its programmable inputs. The microprocessor executes the control algorithm, comparing actual turbine speed to the setpoint. It generates control outputs to drive the steam inlet valve actuator(s), adjusting them to maintain the desired speed. The triple independent overspeed protection logic continuously monitors speed and triggers rapid shutdown on overspeed conditions. Communication interfaces (RS-232/RS-422/RS-485) enable integration with host computers, DCS, or PLC systems for monitoring and control.
Installation Requirements:
  • Mount in control panel per NEMA 4X / IP56 enclosure specifications.
  • Provide 18–32 VDC power supply (24 VDC nominal).
  • Connect speed sensors with proper shielding and grounding.
  • Wire actuator outputs, relay outputs, and programmable I/O per the wiring diagram.
  • Connect communication ports using shielded cable with proper termination and grounding.
  • Ensure ambient temperature remains within -20°C to +60°C.
