Functional Features
Stable backplane voltage under loaded I/O configurations, overload and overvoltage protection, EMI/RFI filtering, diagnostic LED, no internal fan in described legacy design.
Application Scenarios
Automotive assembly PLC power, steel-mill rolling control cabinets, water-treatment pump control, chemical batch systems, general 800-series controller backplane supply.
Material Composition
Sheet-metal/heatsink enclosure components, industrial-grade capacitors, transformers/regulator circuitry, PCB, AC terminal block.
Structural Characteristics
Plug-in PLC power module, dedicated power-supply slot form factor, front LED, AC terminals, backplane DC distribution contacts.
Working Principle
AC input passes through filtering and isolation, then regulation circuitry converts it to regulated 24 VDC. The output distributes power across the rack backplane to processor and I/O cards while protection circuits limit overcurrent and clamp overvoltage faults.
Installation Requirements
Set 115/230 VAC selector before energizing. Install in the specified power slot. Use properly sized AC conductors and ground the chassis. Verify backplane load against module output rating. Allow ventilation space around heatsink surfaces.
Usage Precautions
Never change AC voltage selection under power. Inspect electrolytic capacitors in long-service units. If power LED fails, check AC input, fuse and backplane short circuits before module replacement. Use only in compatible 800-series racks.
