Functional Features
High-noise immunity, wide temperature operation, compact rack footprint, LED or system-side diagnostics depending on host configuration, software configuration for input filtering and fieldbus parameters.
Application Scenarios
Machine digital sensing, conveyor interlock status, valve limit feedback, motor run/stop confirmation, building automation dry-contact monitoring.
Material Composition
Molded thermoplastic module body, metal mounting elements, printed circuit board with SMD components, screw or spring terminal block depending on rack variant.
Structural Characteristics
Standard PLC/fieldbus module form factor, DIN or proprietary rack mounting, front wiring terminals, side bus connector interface.
Working Principle
Field dry contacts or sensor outputs apply voltage to each input channel; the module conditions, isolates and debounces the signal, converts it into fieldbus data objects, and transmits status to the PLC or controller through the backplane/bus interface.
Installation Requirements
Mount only in grounded control cabinet or approved rack. Set supply to 24 VDC with correct polarity. Verify field device sinking/sourcing type before wiring. Separate signal cables from high-voltage drives. Confirm bus termination and node address in configuration software.
Usage Precautions
Do not exceed 24 VDC input rating. Avoid condensation and IP20-exposed environments. Check firmware/fieldbus compatibility before replacement. Inspect terminal torque periodically.
