Trip Characteristic: D curve instantaneous release 10–14 times rated current.
Materials And Structure: Molded thermoset/thermoplastic housing, copper current path, magnetic solenoid and thermal bimetal elements, tunnel and ring terminal connections.
Working Principle: The thermal element responds to sustained overload by bending the bimetal and opening the contacts; the magnetic element releases instantly under short-circuit current exceeding the D-curve threshold.
Installation Requirements: Mount on a compatible DIN rail or panel arrangement per UL489 enclosure design, torque terminals to Schneider specification, provide correctly sized line-side conductors and upstream fusing/breaker coordination, install with adequate clearance for heat dissipation.
Usage Notes: Confirm the suffix 01D against the Schneider product label and local voltage/system requirements before replacement. Do not use in DC applications unless the model rating explicitly permits DC. Test manually using the approved actuator after installation and after any fault event.
