PARKER COMPAX 2500SF3

Product Name
COMPAX 2500SF3 integrated servo motion controller and drive
Product Introduction
COMPAX 2500SF3 is a Parker Compax-series integrated servo amplifier and motion controller. It combines drive power stage, position/speed/torque control and multi-axis coordination in one cabinet-mount unit.

Detailed content

Technical Specifications
230 V AC main supply, 25 A RMS continuous output, 50 A peak output, 24 V DC logic supply ±10%, up to 3 coordinated control axes, feedback support for incremental encoder, absolute encoder, resolver and SSI, communication SERCOS, Ethernet and RS-232 with optional fieldbus modules, position/speed/torque control modes, IP20 enclosure.
Functional Features
Electronic camming, electronic gearing, trajectory planning, G-code-compatible motion programming, integrated drive and controller, fault protection, multi-feedback auto-configuration, parameter backup.
Application Scenarios
Packaging machines, printing presses, CNC equipment, robotic cells, assembly automation, labeling systems and high-precision multi-axis servo lines.
Performance Parameters
Digital current loop above 20 kHz, pulse output up to 1 MHz, single-pulse-class positioning resolution, coordinated interpolation across multiple axes, full protection against overcurrent, overvoltage, overheating and short-circuit.
Material Composition
Aluminum/steel drive chassis, FR4 control PCB, IGBT power modules, fan or passive cooling elements, encoder/communication connectors with EMC shielding.
Structural Features
Cabinet-mount drive body, integrated control and power sections, DIN or panel fixing option, clearly separated power terminals, feedback connectors, communication ports and status display.
Working Principle
AC mains is rectified to a DC bus, the DSP generates PWM switching patterns for the IGBT stage, motor current is regulated in closed loop, feedback devices supply position and speed data, and the motion controller executes cam, gear, interpolation and PLC-style motion commands.
Installation Requirements
Install in a ventilated control cabinet, maintain at least 5 cm clearance around the drive, ground the chassis and motor shields to the EMC bar, separate power and encoder cables, connect 230 V AC and 24 V DC according to Parker wiring diagrams.
