Functional Features
  • Adjustable motor protection thresholds
  • Start/stop, speed command and directional control where configured
  • Real-time status monitoring and fault alarm reporting
  • Digital communication for PLC integration and diagnostics
Application Scenarios
  • Industrial motor starters and variable drive auxiliaries
  • Pump, compressor and fan motor protection
  • Conveyor and process machine motor management
  • Retrofit protection for AC induction and specialty motor systems
Performance Parameters
  • Protection response depends on selected curve, CT/VT ratio and firmware
  • Communication baud rate, node address and protocol must match the host controller
  • Confirm actual current transformer, auxiliary supply and output contact ratings from Parker original documentation
Material Composition
  • Molded frontal housing with display/keypad where equipped
  • Internal PCB with relay outputs, measurement circuits and communication transceivers
  • Terminal block and current/voltage input hardware
Structural Characteristics
  • Panel-mounted protection unit with screw or plug-in terminals
  • Separated power, measurement and communication compartments
  • DIN or panel cutout mounting according to the specific Parker variant
Working Principle
The relay measures motor current, voltage and auxiliary signals, compares them with configured protection curves, and issues trip or alarm outputs when overload, imbalance, phase loss or other faults occur. Communication ports report status and accept control commands from the automation system.
Installation Requirements
  • Install in a control panel with correct cutout and ventilation
  • Use appropriately rated current transformers and voltage inputs
  • Separate power, motor and communication wiring
  • Configure Modbus, CANopen or RTU parameters before energizing the motor
Usage Precautions
  • Do not bypass overload or short-circuit protection during commissioning
  • Verify phase sequence, CT polarity and grounding before first start
  • Test trip functions with the motor de-energized or under controlled load
  • Obtain the original Parker specification sheet to confirm exact firmware and option compatibility
