Functional Features:
  • High-speed data transmission with fixed refresh time regardless of point count
  • Flexible I/O split configuration (16/32/48 points)
  • Bus-type topology supporting T-branch wiring without terminal resistors
  • LED status indicators for monitoring RUN A, RUN B, and error conditions
  • Built-in diagnostics for remote I/O device monitoring
Structural Characteristics:
  • Single-slot rack-mount structure for A-series base unit
  • Front-side terminal wiring area
  • LED indicator layout on front panel
  • Rear edge connector for backplane bus connection
Working Principle:
The module receives instruction data from the PLC CPU through the backplane bus, converts parallel data into serial I/O Link bus signals, and transmits them to remote I/O stations. It receives uploaded signal data from each remote station, converts it back to parallel data, and transmits it to the PLC CPU for logical operation processing.
Installation Requirements:
  • Insert into designated slot of MELSEC-A base rack
  • Lock module fixing buckle
  • Use shielded cable of 0.75 mm² or above for I/O Link bus wiring
  • Complete station address setting for each remote I/O station
Usage Notes:
  • Do not hot-plug module while powered on
  • Comply with maximum total bus length limit
  • Ground shield layer of communication cable at single end only
  • Avoid strong electromagnetic field interference environments
  • Perform station number verification before system startup
