  • Internal layered heat dissipation structure with reserved air convection channels
  • Anti-vibration positioning buckle on both sides of module
  • Fixed locking structure after inserting into backplane
Working Principle:
Field analog signals enter each independent isolation channel through terminal wiring. Optocouplers provide electrical isolation between field side and control bus side to eliminate ground loop interference. Precision operational amplifiers complete signal filtering, amplification, and range adjustment. 16-bit A/D chips convert analog signals into digital data. On-board MCU processes digital data, packages it according to Modbus RTU protocol, and transmits processed measurement data to the Metso BIU8 main control backplane via the internal bus. Real-time self-diagnosis circuits monitor channel open-circuit, short-circuit, and overvoltage faults, outputting alarm signals via front-panel LEDs.
Installation Requirements:
  • Install on standard 35 mm DIN guide rail inside Metso BIU8 DCS control cabinet
  • Ambient environment must avoid direct sunlight, water splash, and corrosive gas exposure
  • Maintain ≥20 mm heat dissipation gap between adjacent modules
  • Use shielded twisted-pair cables for field signal wiring
  • Cable shield layer must be single-point grounded inside cabinet
  • Power supply must use regulated 24 V DC industrial power supply (±10% voltage fluctuation limit)
Usage Notes:
  • Strictly prohibit reverse connection of 24 V DC power terminals
  • Input signal voltage/current must not exceed maximum allowable range per channel
  • Do not disassemble module housing (internal sealing and isolation structure will be damaged)
  • Clean front panel LED and terminal dust every 6 months
  • Storage environment must remain dry
  • After fault alarm, cut off field signal power supply before replacing wiring or module
