Functional Characteristics

  • Advanced Sensor Technology
    • Based on 3 – axis Micro – Electro – Mechanical – Structures (MEMS) sensors, it provides accurate and reliable linear acceleration and angular rate measurements. The use of solid – state sensors without rotational or mechanical wear – out parts ensures high reliability.
  • Superior Data Integration and Output
    • It can output real – time roll, pitch, and heave measurements, as well as linear acceleration across three axes. The unit outputs heave position and velocity, and the angular rate vectors for roll and pitch. With the latest PFreeHeave algorithm, it can output correct and phase – free heave data.
  • Optimized Connectivity
    • Equipped with Ethernet interface and serial lines, it allows for easy data distribution to multiple users on board the vessel. It has a high data output rate and is compatible with various digital I/O protocols, ensuring seamless operation with commonly used survey equipment. The configuration software has selectable communication protocols.
  • Convenient Configuration
    • Comes with Windows – based configuration and data presentation software, which allows for defining vector arms from the MRU’s mounted location to the center of gravity (CG) and two configurable monitoring points.
Application Scenarios

  • Marine Surveying
    • Used for attitude compensation of single – beam and multi – beam echosounders to ensure the accuracy of seabed mapping.
  • Underwater Vehicles
    • Applied to the direction and attitude measurement of autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs) and remotely operated vehicles (ROVs).
  • Ship – borne Equipment
    • Used in the attitude control and damping systems of high – speed ships, as well as for heave compensation of offshore cranes.
  • Dynamic Positioning
    • Provides important motion data for the dynamic positioning of ships and marine structures.
  • Ship Attitude Monitoring
    • Monitors the attitude of ships in real – time to ensure navigation safety and operational stability.
