Working Principle:
The motor operates on the principle of electromagnetic interaction between the permanent magnet rotor and the stator windings. The servo drive sends three-phase sinusoidal current to the stator windings, generating a rotating magnetic field that interacts with the NdFeB rotor magnets, producing continuous torque. The Hiperface DSL encoder provides real-time rotor position feedback to the servo drive, enabling closed-loop velocity and position control.
Advantages:
- Exceptional dynamic response with sub-5ms mechanical time constant
- Zero position loss after power cycle due to absolute encoder
- High overload capacity (3x rated torque for short durations)
- Low maintenance with sealed bearings and brushless design
- Wide speed range from 0 to 6000 RPM with constant torque up to 3000 RPM
Applicable Industries:
- Semiconductor Manufacturing Equipment
- Packaging Machinery
- CNC Machine Tools
- Robot Joint Actuators
- Printing Presses
- Textile Machinery
Installation Requirements:
- Mount on a rigid, vibration-damped surface
- Align coupling within 0.05 mm radial and 0.05° angular tolerance
- Use torque-controlled fasteners: M6 bolts at 8 Nm
- Ensure adequate ventilation or forced cooling above 70% duty cycle
- Ground the motor housing to chassis earth
Usage Notes:
- Do not exceed peak current for more than 5 seconds continuously
- Verify encoder cable shielding integrity to prevent EMI-induced position errors
- Re-grease bearings only if operating above 5000 RPM continuously
- Do not disassemble the encoder housing; it is factory-sealed
